My work is primarily mixed media and collages. I am inspired by everything in my surroundings, especially the photos I have taken on my trips. It is fascinating and mysterious to me when I paste small photos or objects on the canvas of my painting. As I paste, add, and subtract, I become engaged in the dialogue of the piece. Surprises will occur, moods begin to change, and colors demand to be used. Through a piece of texturing, layering, painting, adding, and subtracting, I create my own visions and inspirations; at that moment. I enjoy pasting everything and anything on canvas; it helps me create something new. So that piece has a chance to be alive and useful again. Thus life starts and ends, which is why I like to keep everything alive as long as possible
